FIX On-boarding Analyst

A financial services firm, downtown NYC, is currently looking for a FIX Level 1/Level 2 (first and second line support) analyst to join one of their technical teams. The "run the bank" team is responsible for supporting real time, electronic trading group. The candidate will be working in a high pressured environment across geographical boundaries and multiple teams to resolve issues, using incident and problem management processes where applicable. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with the business and gaining a good understanding of their processes.

The successful candidate will have experience with:

* Basic understanding of FIX protocol, as well as good Linux or UNIX skills.

* Experience in operational support particularly in front/middle office, involving custom-built and vendor packages.

* Experience with release/change management tools and processes such as ITIL

* Excellent communication skills along with a strong passion for client service

* The ability to work effectively in local and globally distributed teams

* The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions to systems problems

Useful technical skills required for this role include FIX protocol (Financial information exchange), Linux/Unix, SQL, Exchange connectivity networks (ECNs), Exchange connectivity, support experience, scripting, some development language exposure or use, project management skills, ITIL, investment banking/ trading experience, front office experience.
