Description

The role of the successful candidates will be to develop, maintain, and expand the sales opportunities and company profile, and to promote and enhance continuing after sales support. Duties will include:
  • Preparing and conducting presentations to customers either on site or customer premises.
  • Maintaining full awareness and comprehension of Company product literature.
  • Producing market intelligence and forecast information.
  • Maintaining an accurate record system of customer base to include sales results, enquiries, developments, etc.
  • Assisting with preparation of tender documents.
  • Acquiring and developing product, Company and industry knowledge by self-tuition and attending training courses as identified.
  • Exploiting and developing sales opportunities and maintaining a high Company profile.
  • Attending customer meetings and maintaining regular and frequent contact with customers.
  • Promoting and providing continuous and effective after-sales support.
  • Frequent liaison with other departments, primarily inside sales, service and engineering pertinent to day to day operations and orders in hand.
  • Participation in the on-call response system.
  • Generating request documentation for procedures and service manuals and liaising with service department and customers to ensure correct and timely availability of manuals/procedures.
  • Acquiring and maintaining awareness of competitor products regarding operation, cost, sales, customers, etc.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • Candidates must demonstrate good overall industry knowledge coupled with relevant technical sales experience
  • Candidates must be computer literate
  • Liaison with customers to exploit and develop sales opportunities as well as other internal departments will require candidates to demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal/communication skills.


Desire Skills and Experience:
  • Offshore service related work experience with relevant product knowledge and good industry contacts are desirable but not essential
  • Previous exposure to surface and subsea wellhead products as well as general drilling and production practices would be preferred
  • A Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is desirable.
