Global Head of Server Administration and Infrastructure

Thebes Group is a leading financial technology consultancy based in the city of London. Thebes work with a number of leading Insurance, Media, financial institutions including Investment Banks, Brokers, Hedge Funds and Financial Vendors.

Thebes currently have an opening within one of their Global Server Administration Teams in the USA.

Role & Responsibilities:

You will deliver the Server Systems administration function, assessment and best practice transformation for a leading global operator of financial markets and provider of innovative trading technologies.

  • Assessment of current function and team;
  • Team management and leadership;
  • Develop and drive best practice transformation plan;
  • Key stakeholder management;
  • Define and set function/team responsibilities vis a vis the Server Administration team and other infrastructure support teams and
  • Define and set a function/team business prioritization frame work

Essential Experience:

  • In-depth experience of leading, changing and managing server systems administration functions;
  • Server Administration/infrastructure change and transformation experience;
  • Experience gained in Financial Services sector over multiple years;
  • Key stakeholder management experience to manage business stakeholder and peer group IT Operations and Infrastructure expectations;
  • Global Server Administration team management experience;
  • Good Server Administration and Infrastructure technology understanding to manage business stakeholder demands placed upon  IT and the Server Administration technical team
  • Good key infrastructure technology understanding in particular Server Administration: server hardware, Operating Systems, Kernel firmware, bios, upgrade/patching best practices
  • Ability to get the job done and makes things happen in a hands-on environment
  • A measured and firm approach, as necessary, for issue identification and resolution
