Introduction

As a large-scale system integrator, My Client focuses on extensive outsourcing and integration of its supply chain. Approximately 90% of the manufacturing cost price is accounted for by purchased goods. Therefore, high level flexibility must be built into the supplier network. Procurement creates, maintains and qualifies this global network. This enables the execution of the Development, Production and Customer Support plans and operates according to the principles of Value Sourcing. Value sourcing is the optimization of Q(uality), L(ogistics), T(echnology) and C(ost of Goods) throughout the total supply chain.

Job Mission

The Account Manager Procurement is responsible for further strengthening and development of my clients world class Procurement team. He or she acts as a project manager to assure the realization of strategic, tactical and operational goals for the management of supply chain.

Job Description

The key duties involved in this position include:
Monitors developments and trends within the supply base and ensures is prepared to react appropriately
Drives supplier selection activities by leading one or more Sourcing Teams
Negotiates Long Term Agreements (LTA) and associated addenda
Monitors contractual compliance of the supplier
Drives continuous cost and lead time reduction
Prepares supplier spending forecasts
Monitors supplier financial health
Ensures all communication to the supplier is coordinated and consistent
Executes the QLTC (supplier performance measurement) process
Prepares for, leads, and follows-up from SAT ( Supplier Account Team ) meetings
Drives supply base rationalization within the commodity
Initiates and drives closure on supplier corrective action requests (SCARs)
Participates in supplier quality audits and drives closure of findings
Develops and maintains long term relationships with suppliers.
Involves selected suppliers in early stages of new product introduction.
Leads or participates in Supplier Account Teams and/or Product Family Teams.
Assures a timely balance between committed supply capacity and expected market requirements.
Manages overall procurement processes and drives for continuous improvements at the suppliers on value sourcing.
Manage suppliers by a Supplier Account Team (multi disciplinary team) by using the QLTC as basis for improvement

Education

Bachelor/Master in relevant area (Technical; mechanical, electrical, physics etc)/Business Administration combined with Supply Chain Management related courses.

Experience

7 - 10 years of work experience in a commercial, professional, complex and international business to business environment, preferably machine building related.
Excellent cross sectoral project manager with proven ability to successfully manage high level, high tech projects with a scope across the whole value chain.
Experienced in Mechatronics

Personal skills

Analytical, structured, assess priorities.
Multidisciplinary approach.
Team player who creates commitment and partnership with internal and external concerned parties.
