Description
My client in the utilities sector is looking for a strong ABAP consultant with IS-U knowledge.
The SAP ABAP technical developer is responsible for the proper, effective and efficient coding of new functionality within the current Belgian SAP application and all of its interfaces.
He/she writes, starting from the technical specification written by the functional analyst, new programs or adapts existing programs and documents the new functionality. He/she knows and respects the application- and industry best coding practices and has proven programming experience, taking into account the logical program flow, database efficiency, application performance and the out-of-the box SAP solution. He/she is responsible for unit tests and the timely, correct delivery of changes. The person in this position reports to the SAP Application Manager.
Skills
* Expert knowledge of ABAP and all of its possibilities.
* Preferably knowledge of the SAP/IS-U and FI/CA datamodel and function modules.
* Innovative thinker, with strong analytical- and problem solving skills. Is keen to learn.
* Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
* Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team in a customer-focused environment
* Results oriented and self-motivated with the ability to follow through on tasks/responsibilities with a relatively low degree of supervision
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to remain focus whilst working under
pressure
* Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
Educational Background
* Preferably Bachelor or Master in IT. (or equivalent by experience)
* At least 5 year experience, within a large-sized company, in a similar position
