Urgent requirement for QA automation tester (Contract role), Dublin
My client, a leading multi national company in the web services sector has an immediate requirement for a Software QA Engineer.
You will be working in a challenging test environment performing automated testing on their web-based applications and products. The ideal candidate will have strong automated testing experience both black and White Box testing with experience using Selenium.
You should be very familiar with Linux/Unix platforms with excellent Shell Scripting knowledge and have tested apps on a Java framework. Good SQL skills also desirable.
The successful candidate will be self directed, comfortable in a team environment and have excellent organisational skills.
Required Skills include:
* Possesses working knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating system and Java framework
* Solid experience and understanding of Web Services (eg XML, WSDL, SOAP, REST, etc.)
* Experience with performing moderately difficult Database SQL queries
* Backend system testing experience utilizing behavioural testing techniques.
* Experience with Apache/Tomcat applications. ActiveMQ/JMS an Advantage.
* Experience with various browser tools (eg HTTPWatch, HTTPFox, Charles, Tamper, etc)
* Solid experience with automation tools (eg Ruby, Selenium, JMeter etc.)
* A Working knowledge of a Scripting language (preferably Unix/Linux Shell script)
* Experience with Performance Testing (eg Java and JMeter)
* Solid experience with using open source Test Case Management tools (TestLink, etc.)
* Significant experience in working on multiple projects in parallel, dealing with a high profile and rapid turnaround pace, and being able to interpret company priorities into personal priorities are a must
* Solid experience with Agile methodology
* Solid experience with Issue tracking systems (eg Bugzilla, Jira etc.)
* Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
* Experience working with global teams is an advantage
