Description
Senior Electrical Design Engineers are required for long term contract work with a leading Aerospace Engineering company in The Netherlands. Due to new wiring design & development projects, our client is seeking to expand their workforce with immediate focus on Electrical Engineers / Design Engineers who will have responsibility for the execution of the functional design of electrical wiring interconnections.Duties and Activities will include:
* Analyzing design requirements
* Performing trade-off studies
* Making design choices about used parts & materials
* Designing wire harnesses end-point finishings, definition of the wiring harness ``From-To`` data
* Writing technical reports in an Design Engineering tooling environment, through integration and concurrent engineering with international and multi-disciplinary teams and together with system suppliers and our customers
* Report to a Lead Engineer and work with / take guidance and direction on a day-to-day basis from a Work Package Manager within the applicable design and development project
Skills Required:
* Preferably a few years of working experience in Aerospace industry
* Excellent knowledge of design processes and methods / standards (design drawing etc) and system architectures
* Requirement definition / validation / design verification (reporting of deviations)
* System design experience (components, end-point finishings, schematics, wiring diagrams)
* Particular risk assessments (rotor burst, tyre burst, etc.)
* Capable of designing main routing architecture definition and providing system schematic contents and integration on aircraft level (functional design)
* System safety analysis knowledge
* Prior experience of wiring interconnection separation / segregation rules
* Grounding and bonding definition
* Wire & cable sizing / voltage drop calculation
* Excellent knowledge of parts & materials of wiring harnesses is preferred along with wiring harness validation & verification and wiring harness manufacturing
* Basics of electronics and mechanics
* Computer Aided Engineering tools (systems / wiring data, no installation design tooling)
* MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
* BEng (or MEng) in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace engineering
* English fluency (written and verbal) is essential and candidates with Dutch language skills are ideally sought
