FREELANCE DESIGNER (NEW YORK)
CREATETHE GROUP is seeking a stellar freelance digital designer, junior/mid/senior, to support our busy team in New York.
The freelance designer is responsible for supporting the visual design and user experience teams, by executing digital concepts from discovery to detailed design. This is a hands-on, occasional client-facing role that executes the evolution of an original concept. The candidate will have the ability to understand the unique challenges of our high touch clients; from luxury, fashion, beauty, hospitality and premium consumer packaged goods. The candidate will also be nimble enough to switch from one to the other without missing a mark, and is brave enough to think different while maintaining the highest standards of design usability. We’re looking for a detail obsessed, creative thinker and doer who thrive in a collaborative, fast paced environment. The freelance designer reports into the Art Directors, Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer.
The freelance designer candidate qualifications:
• 2+ years of digital/interactive experience in design, creating large scale websites, digital campaigns, applications
• A strong understanding of grid systems, responsive design systems, and an impeccable sense of typography and graphic design
• A conceptual thinker that can execute and articulate their vision from concept to production
• A natural storyteller with stellar communication and presentation skills
• A creative who’s a geek at heart, lives for emerging technologies, and is hungry to keep learning
• Their passion is bigger than their ego, a team player
• Photography, copywriting, coding or motion graphics skills a bonus
• Lives life through an artful lens and appreciates a good laugh
