Sr. Reservoir Engineer is urgently needed to fill a position inWest Houstonwith a privately held E&P company.

Progressive Global Energy & Natural Resources specializes in delivering first-rate professionals to the Oil & Gas industry. I work specifically with Reservoir Engineers and have been hired to execute an executive search to fill this role as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Reservoir Engineer will be primarily responsible for drilling program management and reservoir studies with a focus on tight gas. Operations experience is a much desire bonus. Job will not be limited to primary duties, but will also include reserve analysis, well planning, and exploitation support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop integrated exploitation and development strategy to achieve both corporate strategic goals and aggressive rate add goals
  • Coordinate drilling schedule and troubleshoot potential timing/location issues from a reserves, operations and land perspective
  • Work with the Exploitation team on full field well planning and operations
  • Assist in coordinating year end reserves process to maximize 1P and 2P bookings
  • Business development and deal screening in new developmental areas
  • Keep up to date on new drilling activity


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Understanding of tight gas, unconventional completion strategies and design
  • Ability to work through planning issues and troubleshoot with a multidisciplinary team
  • North Louisianaexperience is an asset but not a requirement
  • Proficiency in the use and application of ARIES, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and the ability to learn new software or applications
  • Desired experience in the use and application of Petra, WellSpring, and Fekete suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills.


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • BS degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent work experience with engineering degree from an accredited four year university or college required.
  • Five plus years of relevant work experience.
