Talented Java Developer to work in Connectivity Team

An exceptional Java Developer is needed for an eTrading tech team in the Equities division of a top Investment Bank based inCanaryWharf.

This position requires someone with a deep understanding and natural aptitude for learning new technologies and complex platforms. You will be working on an ultra-low latency connectivity platform performing millions of transactional messages each day.

The company will offer fantastic opportunities to work with cutting edge technologies, within Java and a Unix/Linux environment. It's an exciting business area interfacing with interesting areas of the Bank.

You should have:

- Professional experience as a Core Java Developer (or be a C++ candidate, with some Java experience)

- Experience working with Unix/Linux systems

- A 2:1/1st class degree in Computing/ Physics/ Maths/ Engineering and related at a top University

- Previous experience working in finance, preferably in a front-office environment is preferred

- Also desired is experience working with high frequency, low-latency systems.

This is a strong team within the Bank, and will be an important hire, due to this team's value to the Business. Therefore, you must be motivated by the desire to work on highly complex systems, and enjoy an environment that may be challenging and pressurising.
