At IT Alliance Group we have an immediate requirement for an experienced messaging consultant who would take the existing design and implement solution for a new messaging environment based on Exchange 2010 in line with strategy for overall programme. Messaging is very high profile and is considered the most critical business application, hence the need for an experienced consultant. Initial focus would be to plan in more detail what needs to be done.
Messaging is considered to be an Infrastructure Application'. Current setup is Exchange 2007 supporting approximately 1,600 users, integrated with Blackberry Servers and also using IronPort gateways. There is also an archiving solution based on an Autonomy Nearpoint product (which is now HP and end of life). Approach to migration is to build new Exchange 2010 environment, Blackberry Environment (This will be done by a third party), etc. and then migrate users from AS-IS' to the TO-BE'. Once everything is in and proven then this migration of users will be managed by the client.
Design work is complete, the next steps - detailed design and implementation, testing to point where new environment is proven
