Position OverviewWe are looking for a creative minded Flash Designer for an online-based company with an in- house design team.
He or she will work very closely with the design and marketing team and create eye-catching flash designs for online banners, widgets and web sites. He or she must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and communicate well with team members, analyse the performance of active marketing collaterals, contribute fresh, creative ideas to the design process and impress with outstanding flash designs and developments.
Responsibilities:
• Create and develop interactive flash banners, widgets and pages as per marketing brief.
• Contributing ideas and recommendations to the overall brief.
• Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
• Design and develop and build creative applications in AS3.
• Work with creative directors, designers, developers, QA, and product managers in developing rich media ads.
• Understand and gather requirements. Create technical designs and document all system changes.
• Follow and enhance existing development processes.
• Measure and verify that new and old code has acceptable performance, size and scalability
• Consistently meet project deadlines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• 3 years or more of Flash development and design experience. E-Commerce experience is a plus, but fresh ideas and perspectives always appreciated.
• Extensive knowledge of AS3 is required
• Highly competent in Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, and ideally Premier or AfterEffects.
• Understanding of Object Orientating Programming and examples to prove it.
• Experience on integration with web technologies such as HTML, XML, JSON, Javascript, Web Services
• Experience working with ad servers
• Strong experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
• Team-oriented experience highly desired
• Superb attention to detail
• Knowledge of user-centered UI design, human factors, human-computer interaction, and usability highly desired.
• Very good oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong debugging skills
• Experience with common Flash libraries such as GoogleMaps, Greensock, and Papervision desired
• Experience developing online advertisements desired
• Experience in video editing and transforming videos into interactive, web optimized flash widgets
• Basic project and process planning
