Our client an Investment Bank requires a TEST AUTOMATION DEVELOPER / TEST ANALYST on a contractual basis.You will be joining the successful Front Office Equities team.
Ideally you will have experience working in the FO environment.
Responsibilities
The candidate will function as a testing engineer within the Equities technology team. Focus will be on driving the automation of testing within the Program Trading, Single Shares and Electronic Trading business. Candidate will work in close collaboration with the development teams.
General responsibilities as follows:
* Preparation of test plans, test cases, test scripts
* Development and planning of test campaigns and other activity
* Creation of various automated tests (including functional, regression, load, performance etc.)
* Analysing test results, investigating problems to the detailed design level and providing solutions to these problems
* Designing, implementing, using and improving tools used for automated testing and other business improvement
* Strive for testing automation
* Liaise with Development and QA Teams on definition of test strategy, tools and environments
* Communicating and managing issues with customers and other stakeholders
Essential
Previous experience in developing automated solutions required.
* Five or more years experience in software testing preferably within a Front Office environment.
* Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Structured testing methodologies
* Working knowledge of Defect Management
* Knowledge of Automated Functional GUI testing tools
Desired
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of using automated test tools (Mercury QTP, QC, Fitnesse)
* Working knowledge of Linux & Scripting (Perl/Shell)
* SQL knowledge
* Previous development experience in an Object Oriented language
* Continuous build using Team City or similar
* Experience working in an Agile environment
