Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit several contract Combat Systems Engineers on behalf of a client.

The Client: World Leader in Maritime naval ships.

Job Description
To produce innovative product concepts, requirements and demonstrations to help ensure the Company's current and future products are competitive in the world market. This will include understanding a wide range of technical subjects as required to produce high level specifications to enable preliminary investigations of new concepts to be undertaken. Is likely to be a key individual in major contract or area of activity. May have a supervisory role of a small team of professionally qualified individuals. Professional, financial and business judgement required in role.

Purpose of role
The combat systems engineer role is to establish and agree the detailed scope of supply (including equipment modification and support requirements required to support the wider Naval Combat Systems design or legislative requirements) for specific Naval Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

Capture agreements by developing Supplier Agreements in conjunction with the equipment delivery and MoD approval authority teams. Ensure alignment with technical, programme and cost baselines and support the development of the latest Naval Ship Demonstration, Manufacture and Support (DMS) schedule through understanding of the GFX delivery dates, including the requirements for cross decked, pump primed equipment and long lead items.

Major Tasks and Activities:
Establish and agree the detailed scope of supply for GFX equipment.
Produce and agree the GFX equipment supplier agreements, including schedule.
Support alignment of assumptions to the supplier agreements.
Identify and define risks and opportunities associated with the GFX equipment supply.
Support definition of activities associated with GFX to be conducted by Combat Systems team during Design Manufacture and Support phase of the contract.
Review transverse and platform integration aspects of GFX equipment.
Support reviews of design, cost and programme data relating to GFX equipment.
Discuss and negotiate agreements with customer.
