Description
The Project and the ESB Developer are facilitated and supported by the SOA Center of Excellence, Enterprise Service Development and the ESB Developer will be a part of the established ESB Community where the main purpose is to share knowledge and experience, to discuss issues related to service development and discuss any need for changes in enterprise service governance, standards and guidelines etc. The ideal candidate possesses a depth of understanding of the enterprise service life cycle, enterprise service development and has experience in using the most common standard tools for enterprise service design, development and testing. It is a must that you are experienced in service development on OSB (3-4 Years practical experience) and possibly other ESB technologies. Exposure to technologies and methodologies such as Service Repository, BPM, SOA, Agile and Continuous Integration will be highly regarded. Some general business knowledge about shipping would also be an advantage. We are looking for an energetic person with an optimistic nature and good sense of humour, who is willing to be part of a multicultural team. You are willing to learn and keep abreast of the latest in business rules technologies and best practice.
The ESB Developer working in the project should be competent in, and responsible for:
- Supporting SOA Design with specification of services
- Supporting testers to ensure comprehensive testing of new and updated services both individually and in ensemble
- Working with deployment team so that service implementations are smooth and uniform
- Participating in review of relevant project deliverables
- Taking responsibility for project deliverables as specified in ÉSB Developers Handbook and RACI

- Ensure ESB Project is managed and in control
- Continually keep overview of requirements and deliveries within the agreed ESB Project
- Understand impact of existing governance across the program
- Strive to support both team and individual objectives to be meet timely
- Strive to support Project and Verticals archiving on CLIENT'S & Project Objectives
- Knowledgeable about XML
- Knowledgeable about MQ
- Experience with SOA service development
- Experience with Oracle Service Bus and other platforms
- Experience defining and documenting standards
- Experience with conducting reviews and quality assurance of SOA related deliverables
- Experience with communication of subject matter to project members that are not developers and coaching of colleagues
Required experience and skills
The expected education level is:
- Candidate degree
- Relevant supplemental courses
However, practical experience is essential and may compensate if formal education level is less than expected.
