Circa £40-45,000
Experienced Project Engineer/manager sought for international manufacturer of heavy engineering equipment to manage their design process and team in the production and release of new products and product features to agreed specification, timescale and budget.
A diverse role you will get to work on 5-6 projects at once each up to £3 million in value of various durations and values. These will be at all different phases so versatility and time management is a must.
Responsibilities will include:
- Project manage new product introductions of standard and special products
- End to end project management from dealing with the sales team, creating a design specification, feeding this to the design team, planning the workload and overseeing the product through design, test, and manufacture and onto onsite installation.
- Coaching and development of direct reports
- Clear communication with all areas of the business to ensure successful project completion.
- Compile and complete technical files
- Plan and schedule project including factory considerations and loading and identifying the critical path.
- Provide design and project direction to team through regular review meetings
- Adoption and use within the team of design tools including FEA, FMEA, new materials release and bill of material creation.

To fulfil this position then you will require the following skills:
- Engineering qualification, ideally to a degree level or higher.
- Previous successful project management experience
- Previous leadership/management experience
- Strong planning, scheduling and communication skills
- Knowledge of ISO9000 and competence on 2D/3D CAD, MS Project and MRP/ERP
- Knowledge of electrical requirements for site installations including Atex requirements and '17th edition'
