My client, an international investment bank is looking for a team of experienced Software Engineers to join 3 different projects. All of the roles are 6 months initial contract and are expected to be renewed by at least another 6.
Your Profile:
As well as the usual responsibilities of a software developer, you show an interest in the discipline of software development. That is, what makes 'good' software which not only delivers for the business but is of a high quality and is maintainable. Knowledge and practical experience of techniques to achieve this is essential. These include TDD and mocking frameworks, design patterns, SOLID design principles, DRY, YAGNI, continuous integration, etc. You will be someone who knows these not just because you have to, but also because you want to.
Knowledge of:
Must haves
o C# (3.5 or above)
o Web development (ASP.NET MVC)
o MS SQL Server Reporting Services
o Relational database
o TDD with a mocking framework
o SOLID, DRY, YAGNI, etc
o Continuous integration
Nice to haves:
o WCF
o TFS
o Agile techniques
o MSBuild
