Sr. Java Developer
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Functions:
We are currently looking for a senior Java developer professional experienced in all aspects of software components design and development:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Seven (7) years experience in developing enterprise Java applications, with strong experience in Client Server development.
- 5 or more experience developing and implementing SOA Web Services including SOAP and REST, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Dojo, JSON.
- 5 or more years development experience with Eclipse, Subversion and Maven.
- Experience with design patterns and open source development products.
- Experience with development in Agile, Iterative, and Incremental development processes, ie RUP, Agile SCRUM or XP.
- Deep Understanding of SOA Web Services and application integration technologies.
- Strong skills required in critical thinking, analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions.
- Expertise in SQL and experience with relational RDBMS, like MySQL, and Oracle preferred.
- Consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Test Driven Development.
- Experience developing and implementing SOA Web Services including SOAP and REST.
- Experience working with Spring Framework, Hibernate, Dojo, JSON
- Experience working with Version Control Software Subversion (SVN).
- Experience working with Maven, Continuum, Hudson and Archiva.
- Experience working with Perl.
- Able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, code, unit tests and debug Java source code for Client Server Side applications.
- Work in Agile process framework and participate in iterative, incremental development, stand-ups, design reviews, code walkthroughs, and pair programming.
- Contribute to task identification, work effort estimates, work schedules for development, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Participate in the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective application solutions to support client business processes and functional and non functional requirements.
- Work with other teams to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development & maintenance assignments.
- Completes administrative requirements in an accurate and timely manner (time reporting, status reporting, etc).
- Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
Top 3 - 5 Required Skills
