Senior SAP Consultants

Location: USA, California
Job Type: 2 Month Contract - possible extension
Start Date: 29th April 2013
Salary/Rate: £450 - £550 per day + Expenses (Hotel & Flight)

Client:
My client is a Multinational Consultancy Firm with 12,000 employees and offices Worldwide. They specialise in business and strategy advisory, transformation programs, solutions integration, technological applications maintenance and outsourcing services in a wide range of industry sectors.

This requirement is from their London Office with the end Client being a large US Logistics Company in California.

Project Scope:
My Client looking for a number of Senior SAP Consultants for a project in US, California.

This is an ongoing project that is not Delivering with it's current consultants and they are bringing in a new team with the expectation to turn the project around.

Role:

  • Lead and coordinate business use-case modelling. 
  • Understand user requirements, their strategies, and their goals and communicate them to the IT experts. 
  • Coordinates the validation of business processes by the business experts. 
  • Perform a cost/benefit analysis for any suggested changes in the target organization. 
  • Translating business needs into functional requirements. Functional Analysis. Business Blueprinting. Testing. Documentation. Deployment of software applications/components. 
  • Validation of implementations. Debugging. User support. 
  • Work with stakeholders to define and communicate prioritised software development designs and plans that support objectives and strategic plans.
  • Responsible for allocation of work to developers, taking account of individuals' abilities and requirements of the work. 
  • Monitor and report on the progress of development against plan. 
  • Ensure that there is proper functional impact assessment of all risks and issues and changes to scope, requirements or design. Provide advice on any avoidance, mitigation or remedial actions required. 
  • Lead and motivate teams of developers. 
  • Provide appropriate documentation and release plans to manage handover activity so that software can transition smoothly from development into test and production. 
  • Monitor and take responsibility for unit test coverage and completion to minimize defects in subsequent testing/production. Ensure that all aspects of the developed software meet requirements and are in line with the agreed design eg data, user experience, architecture, security, quality & operations. 
  • Ensure that development is carried out in accordance with agreed quality standards and procedures and that all new development goes through an appropriate testing process.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in SAP Implementation Projects - following quality procedures
  • Practical experience with formal methodology and its application to the project life cycle
  • Excellent communication Skills: 
  • Able to explain SAP in clear terms to non technical colleagues 
  • Able to collaborate with management and colleagues to share the responsibilities for achieving an end-to-end solution for customers
  • Proven success on multiple, enterprise-scale SAP projects. 
  • In depth knowledge of SAP solutions to enable review of the development team's work and guidance as appropriate 
  • Good planning and organizational skills, including ability to engage with multiple development projects concurrently and work to tight deadlines 
  • Proficient in resource planning, including analysing requirements, resource estimation and allocation 
  • Excellent in team leadership and team-based problem solving skills. Negotiate resolution of issues and conflict management. Ability to supervise and motivate staff. 
  • Strong attention to detail which ensures that customer requirements are met and that a high quality standard is achieved.
