Software Contractor - SDK - Test - C - C++ - Objective C - CambridgeDue to maternity leave being taken, my client requires a Software Contractor to join them on a 12 month contract.
The successful applicant will be required to perform software development, integration and testing of a software development kit (SDK) product for mobile devices. Additional responsibilities include test planning & test design, scripting automated test cases, constructing and maintaining build and test automation scripts, and execution of manual & automated tests and benchmarks on mobile phones and tablets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for; Developing application and library code for iOS in Objective-C and C++, achieving high levels of quality and meeting challenging timescales; The use of scripting languages (Python, bash, etc) for the automation of test cases, report generation etc; Test design, planning and execution
To be considered for this role your key skills/experiences must consist of the following; Object-oriented design and software construction; Programming languages: Required: C, C++, Objective-C. Desirable: C#, Java; Scripting languages: Python, bash, shell utilities; Good knowledge of the iOS operating system, its APIs and programming model. Desirable: knowledge of another mobile high-level operating system such as Android; Software testing, including the construction and maintenance of automated test cases at an API and/or application level; Agile software development; continuous integration; source code control systems; bug tracking databases.
In addition to the above, experience with the following would be highly advantageous; 3D graphics; OpenGL; computer vision/augmented reality; the Unity3D game engine.
