Description
The New York Times is seeking a curious, creative and passionate iOS developer to join a new team dedicated to creating mobile and web applications to deliver our journalism.You’ll be a part of a small multidisciplinary team rapidly prototyping, launching and scaling new products for multiple platforms. As one of the first hires, you’ll have the opportunity to drive the architecture and own large pieces of the application.
The successful candidate must be experienced with Objective-C and be able to develop a native iOS application through its entire lifecycle. Also critical is an attention to detail, a strong sense of ownership, pride in the quality of one's work and the ability to meet deadlines. Experience programming in frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and client-side web technologies including javascript, CSS and HTML is a strong plus.
