Regulatory Change Accountant

My client is a large banking group based in the city. They are recruiting for a regulatory change job role. Interviews are taking place with immediate effect. Candidates must have experience of managing projects and an understanding of the methodology behind reg requirements in banking.

Role description

*Project managing and driving forward ad hoc projects and act as liaison/support to Capital & ALM and Group Regulatory Policy.
*Analyse, document and manage business change requests of existing and new regulatory requirements.
*Challenge proposed business change requests, system design solutions and system requirements.
*Understand and communicate the key drivers and the impact quantitatively and qualitatively of proposed changes on the Group and the businesses to key stakeholders.
*Build and maintain successful working relationships with key stakeholders across the group.
*To work with business users to define and document regulatory business requirements;
*To review regulatory system design solutions;
*To maintain and develop regulatory reporting tools;

To review regulatory systems and reporting tools changes;

*To challenge and support regulatory systems, tools and process changes
*Clear, mutually understood requirements with timely submission;
*System design solutions meet all business requirements and allow for the timely submission of returns;
*Appropriate reporting tools delivered in a timely manner to support the reporting timetable;
*Error free use of implemented Regulatory systems by reporting team;
*Successful and timely implementation of all regulatory systems and tools changes leading to improved business processes

Candidate requirements

* Knowledge of FSA and other regulatory reporting requirements;
* Knowledge of accounting and consolidation issues;
* Preferably a part qualified Accountant;
* Planning and project management skills;
* Knowledge of the Group's structure, operations and systems;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral;
* Excellent analytical and business analysis skills;
* Self-motivated and capable of working as part of a team;
* Good mathematical and analytical skills;
* Ability to work under pressure, report to tight deadlines and deal effectively with issues as they arise.
* Preferable to have understanding of systems and processes within the scope of the role holder's current and previous projects;
