IT Security Analyst

Cyber Security, Application Development & Maintenance, System Architecture, Computer Engineering, and other Digital Infrastructure support functions

Position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 - 7 years like-work experience, or combination of education and like-work experience totaling 9+ years may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

This position is responsible for providing Cyber Security support for the East Nuclear stations within the Nuclear Generation Group.

Responsibilities include:

(1) Vulnerability assessment of digital systems and components
(2) Installation, configuration and monitoring of network and component intrusion prevention systems
(3) Incident response to cyber events
(4) Development and maintenance of cyber security documentation to ensure integrity of computer systems and conformance with the Plant Operating License, Technical Specifications and Nuclear Quality Assurance Program,
(5) Lead site Cyber Security Assessment Team (CSAT) meetings,
(6) Assist digital design engineers with plant modifications
(7) Provide support to Nuclear Generation Group initiatives as directed to support Nuclear fleet projects and initiatives for Cyber Security across NGG
(8) Serve as the liaison between Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear Security
(9) Familiar with plant committed programs including Emergency Response Organization, Self-Evaluation Program and plant outages throughout the Nuclear Generation Group.

Position requires strong inter-personal and communication skills. Requires strong writing skills.

Technical background and familiarity with desktop and server security tools including virus management software. Working knowledge of networking including TCP/IP and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and associated services.

Candidate must have a working knowledge of operating systems such as Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008; Windows XP; Windows 7; Linux; Hyper-V; Ubuntu; and VMware. The position will require Engineering training as well as position specific qualification training

Security certification or SANS training is desirable {Security+, GSEC, GCIH, CEH}.

Previous nuclear experience and familiarity with NEI 08-09, NEI 10-04, NEI 10-08, and NIST 800-53 is desirable. 4 year degree in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline or 8 years of demonstrated IT competency or military experience strongly preferred. In addition, five or more year's relevant experience within the nuclear environment is also strongly preferred
