Project Engineer SP&C
Location: York
Contract Duration: 8 months
Rate: Up to £330 per day
My Client requires a Project Engineer in the signalling discipline. You will be responsible for providing expertise and support to the project delivery team based in York.
You will act as Designated Project Engineer in accordance with NR/L2/INI/02009 (Company Procedure). You will be responsible for the preparation of technical specifications for tendering and subsequent reviews along with the acceptance of designs submitted by contractors and consultants; ensuring they are in compliance with Railway Company and Industry Standards & Procedures on allocated projects. Duties would also include agreement on site construction methods and ensuring works are undertaken safely and at minimum risk to Network Rail operational infrastructure.Attendance at testing and commissioning and bringing into service is also a requirement.
Experience requires:
*Experience in signalling design and construction.
*Experience of railway industry infrastructure engineering.
*Technical qualification to a minimum level of HNC/HND in a core Engineering subject.
*Membership of a Professional Institute such as IET or IMechE etc
*Chartered or Incorporated Engineer Status
*The candidate must be capable of working with the minimum of supervision.
