Collections Advisor
Edinburgh
6 Month Contract
£9 per hour


Our client one of the largest financial organisations in Edinburgh, are currently recruiting for Collections Advisors to manage customers' arrears cases and identify the most effective solutions for both the customer and the business.

Working in this vibrant contact centre, you will agree and negotiate solutions with customers and external parties, in order to bring consumer arrears accounts up-to-date. You will be required to maintain ongoing customer relationships whilst negotiating methods of repayment and repayment solutions using appropriate collection tools to enhance any collection activity. It will be necessary to make decisions within mandate and guidelines or refer to a higher authority if needed.

As a core member of this busy team, excellent communication and customer service skills are essential. You must show the ability to listen and to inform customers and colleagues of useful or relevant information. You will be required to demonstrate excellent data entry and telephony skills as well as the ability to influence and negotiate. A basic understanding of the provisions of the Data Protection Act and the Consumer Credit Act, as well as an understanding of arrears solutions is required for this role.
