Description
A new 3 month contract opportunity is available for a Systems Centre Specialist within this large scale Queensland Government Department based in Brisbane's CBD.
The Systems Centre Specialist will be required to work in 3rd Tier Operational Support Team as a Windows Server/Systems Center specialist to perform security patching and operating system maintenance against the departments Windows Server fleet.
This includes liaising with the various business units and support teams to effectively perform these tasks within agreed maintenance windows.
The role requires strong skills and experience in the management and maintenance of the following technologies:
- Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems
- Microsoft SCCM 2007 and 2012
- Understanding best practice in the development, testing, implementation and rollout of Microsoft security and third party software updates.
In addition, skills and experience in the design, documentation, implementation and operational support of the following would be highly regarded:
- Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop
- Systems Centre Operations Manager 2007 R2
- Symantec Enterprise Vault
- Appsense
- Microsoft Active Directory
- ITIL/Prince 2
