Our client is a leading financial services organisation that provides a wide and diverse offering in the Australian market. They have a highly regarded name based on their current work, professional culture and progressive growth strategies. Due to an ever increasing project pipeline they are looking for a senior Java developer to work across multiple Greenfield development projects.
Following the introduction of the Dodd Frank legislation which increases government oversight of derivatives trading by Financial Institutions, an range of complex requirements have hit the OTC Derivatives IT team of my client which has resulted in the initiation of numerous greenfield projects to ensure the existing systems are compliant with this regulatory reform.
The role is heavily delivery focused; working with internal Business Analysts, Architects and Java Software Engineers you will scope, build and deliver software solutions across the OTC Derivatives Trading space. Working in an Agile environment, you will develop predominantly Java Server Side components, with regular releases. The role is looking for a seasoned developer with previous Financial markets experience. You must thoroughly understand the Markets environment and how it is impacted by regulatory reform.
Requirements of the role:
- Strong Server Side Java Development (7+ Years)
- Previous Financial Markets/Investment banking Experience (Essential)
- Understanding of Regulatory Reform (Dodd Frank/Sarbanes Oxley/Basel III)
- Experience with Spring, Camel, OSGI Service Mix, WebSphere, XSLT, FIX, MQ, LDAP and related technologies
- Results-focused, attention to detail, and hands-on approach
- Excellent Communication and Analytical Skills
