Mechanical Satellite Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Engineer contract opportunity with a well established and respected space technology organisation on a contract basis. Based in Germany Mechanical Satellite AIT Engineer will be working on exciting and innovative technological projects specializing in low-orbit and geostationary small satellites.Mechanical AIT Engineer Responsibilities:
* Island lead of a team of two engineers
* Island planning, organization and control
* Mechanical assembly and integration of satellite structural parts and subsystems
* Test case definition
* Test specification and procedure generation as well as test report generation
* Delegated Quality Assurance tasks like e.g., Key Inspection Points, standard inspections, mating logs, as-runs, procedure variations, Non-Conformance Re-ports, * Problem Reports
Educational Requirements
* Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace technology, physics or comparable qualification
Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of four years experience in the satellite AIT or test field
* Knowledge of ECSS Standards for Mechanical Engineering
* Experience in working with mechanical tool kits and MGSE
* Experience in mechanical assembly of satellite structures, including propulsion systems
* Able to work to strict project targets and challenges
* Well-developed communication skills and hands on-mentality
* Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and able to work under time pressure
* Fluency in spoken and written English
