An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Client Account Manager. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the servicing requirements of RLAM's internal and external clients are met and the level and quality of service is continually enhanced and up to or above industry standards. The role relies heavily on an ability to deliver high quality service, which is prompt, accurate and intelligent and to have accountability for one's own portfolio of clients.

The main duties are as follows:

  • To be responsible for the client servicing for RLAM's institutional clients, including proactively communicating matters pertinent to the client's portfolio to both the client and their consultant, including periodic and ad hoc reports for these accounts.
  • To be responsible for administering existing institutional accounts, as well as transitioning those won in the future.
  • To represent the client's needs and continuously challenge RLAM to provide better levels of service, which remain at the forefront of industry standards.
  • To play an active role in the retention of client accounts and to follow up opportunities for cross selling and new mandates.
  • Ensuring that client requests are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Liaising with front and Middle Office colleagues, the compliance, legal and tax departments and outsource providers for these requests.
  • To ensure that the service provided by RLAM to external clients is in line with customer agreements and RLAM's internal procedures. Follow processes, procedures, regulatory requirements and effective record keeping and give due consideration to risk and capital management.
  • Representing RLAM and documenting trustee meetings, (or occasionally beauty parades and other business development initiatives).
  • Timely and accurate publication of quarterly reports.

The successful candidate will need to have the following background:

  • Proven commercial experience in investment management client-orientated roles, including relationship management.
  • Proven experience and deep knowledge of UK institutional market place, including pensions (segregated and pooled), multi managers and investment management (including Fixed Income knowledge), together with experience of dealing with investment consultants.
