User Interaction Designer, iPhone

The User Interaction Designer will be responsible for developing a working knowledge of our user base and leveraging that to design meaningful and valued product interactions. As the UI Designer you will work closely with Product Management and be part of an Agile team to translate requirements into designs that facilitate rapid prototyping. Along with developing wireframes and navigation you will help define the look and feel of the product. Responsibilities will also include validation and iteration of your design with target users, and close partnership with Engineering to ensure product feasibility.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class mobile user interaction designs, from concept through to launch.
  • Design for a variety of platforms including tablets, and web browsers mobile.
  • Produce designs to help the entire product team understand the desired customer experience:

storyboards, flows, wireframes and prototypes.

  • Manage basic level of usability testing for prototypes. Quickly collect and decipher feedback for rapid iteration of the product design.
  • Work in partnership with product management, visual design, and engineering to deliver the desired experience on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Mobile UI/UX design experience
  • Understanding of UCD principles
  • Highly proficient in Photoshop
  • Ability to work side-by-side with developers and product/project managers
  • Cutting assets and writing functional documents for developers
  • Experience wireframing (balsamiq, axure, omnigraffle) and making clickable prototypes to show ideas in motion (fieldtest, proto.io)
  • Ability to prioritize, and manage work to critical project deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where design is iterative
  • Design leadership (be able to explain design decisions to stakeholders and your team)

Nice to Haves:

  • Agile/scrum experience
  • Familiarity with Apple HIG
  • Experience with a/b testing, user research
  • JIRA for issue tracking
