SAP OPERATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE LEAD - PERMANENT - £70,,000 EXCELLENT BENEFITSOur Oil and Gas client is currently recruiting for an SAP Operations infrastructure Lead with the following experience.
* Must have extensive, detailed SAP-related experience in at least three of the following key areas:
* UNIX or Windows Server operating systems
* Wintel or UNIX hardware
* High Availability hosting and clustered environments
* Shared Data Storage (SAN)
* Data Archiving and Data Volume Management
* Infrastructure Maintenance Planning and Execution
* Can demonstrate SAP hosting experience and in-depth knowledge of the challenges and opportunities presented in delivering services in a global multi-instance SAP environment
* Must be able to work effectively with a high number of stakeholders across IT&S.
Desirable criteria & qualifications* Familiarity with operations,
* SAP Certified
* Manage a team of three technical infrastructure leads, who are in turn responsible for managing the direction and day-to-day activities of an infrastructure service provider. Ensure that the service provider delivers to the agreed high level goals of IT&S and B&SS
* Accountable for delivering a process and approach for performing proactive, regular end-to-end system health-checks to identify issues and avert major incidents
* Accountable for developing a robust and enduring process for planning and implementing all infrastructure maintenance necessary to keep production stacks current, supportable and aligned to our declared maintenance strategy
* Responsible for developing a maintenance strategy for SAP infrastructure, which aligns to central IT&S strategies and delivers the expected levels of availability and supportability
* Accountable for the reliable provision of infrastructure services (Operating System, Hardware and Storage) by service providers, to ensure that agreed service levels are achieved for the SAP estate.
* Accountable for developing and documenting a series of approved or certified infrastructure builds (which will form part of wider end-to-end build), relating to complex SAP hosting environments and ensuring that sufficient process/tooling is implemented to maintain these by detecting any deviation caused by change
