A leading oil and gas organisation are looking for a Functional SAP FICO / JVA consultant to work within a leading team in the centre of Aberdeen.

My client is one of the largest energy companies in the world and this opportunity will give the successful candidate a fantastic chance to work within a booming industry.

Key Job Responsibilities for these positions:

-Responsible for critical SAP Financial Month end processing and co-ordination for the European operations, working very closely with Financial Forecasting, Analysis and Reporting group ensuring accuracy and strict timelines are adhered to.

-Provide functional/technical expertise in SAP R/3 Financial modules - translation of high level requirements into functional specifications for development or application evaluation, configuration changes, unit and integration testing, adhering to PAD change management process ensuring application controls/security are in place.

-Responsible for creation and maintenance of all SAP R/3 master data updates and queries ensuring strict standardised guidelines are followed

-Review and grant approvals where necessary for all SAP Financial access roles

-Provide SAP R/3, BI to Aberdeen, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Manila, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland Finance personnel End user assistance on questions and queries, troubleshoot system issues and correct following our Change Management process where necessary, create/maintain BI queries

-Establish and deliver end user training when required

Candidates must have:

-Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting/Finance
-Professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or part qualification will be of benefit to any applicant
-Ability to work from a high to low level of detail
-Extensive SAP R/3 Financial module (FI, AP, AR, JVA, CO, PS, AM) support experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas Industry and likely gained over a period of 10+ years
-Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time and excellent customer relationship management skills
-Candidates must be 'quick learner' with the ability to grasp new business processes and rapidly assess needs
-Effective team player with a flexible approach during periods of high demand
