RF Services Engineer
Various locations across Central, Western and Eastern America

A leading Telecommunications client is currently seeking RF Engineers to join branches across the US. Locations include Kansas, California and Florida. These will be initially contract roles with the view to potentially go permanent.

Responsibilities of the successful RF Engineers include:
*Integration, tracking and troubleshooting of new and existing network as requested by Sprint and new equipment capacity augments that will require additional site modification work to accommodate network growth.
*Dedicated and able to train lower level engineers.
*Technical expertise in wireless telecommunications engineering is required, as well as a solid understanding of CDMA networks.
*Experience in other aspects of the wireless telecommunications industry, including site acquisition, network design, and construction is also a plus.

Required Skill set (job profile or background requirements):
*Strong technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
*Experienced in troubleshooting DAS installations.
*Experienced in maintaining and optimizing a live medium to large commercial wireless networks for CDMA and EVDO.
*Experienced in actual field drive test data analysis of CDMA Voice and most especially EVDO data.
*Ability to analyse issues related to an EVDO network such as:
Low DRC § Low Throughput
*Connection Failures (Access Failures and Capacity Issues such as MACID, CE, etc.)
*Connection Drops
*Experienced with ECDMA (Nortel) network element hardware such as MTX, BTS, RNC and EMS.
*Experienced in optimizing voice and EVDO parameters
*Experienced in integrating new sites (voice and EVDO)
*Experienced in integrating and optimization of new EVDO carriers
*Experienced in creating, analysing and giving recommendations based on pre-post reports
*Proficient with following ECDMA (Nortel) tools:
*CACP
*EMS GUI
*EMS Unix CLI Commands
*CPS (a plus)
*Newtun (a plus)
*Proficient with the following drive test, post-processing and coverage tools:
*Invex NXG
*Agilent E6474A
*Windcatcher
*Planet
*Wizard (optional)
*Proficient in using the following tools/software:
*SecureCRT (similar to Procomm Plus, Nortel's CLIManager or Putty)
*MS Excel (programming skills is a plus)
*MS Office (programming skills such as VB is a plus)
*MapInfo (programming skills is a plus)
*Experienced in using Sprint specific tools such as RFISS, SODA, etc. Required Skill set (job profile or background requirements): Included in scope of work
