My client a leading QLD employer is looking for an Implementation Manager to join their team on a long-term contract basis. The Manager Implementation will support the Delivery Director in the planning and coordination of the ICT program of works to ensure the successful program delivery of large scale, complex ICT projects.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Develop and deliver a coordinated ICT Portfolio Implementation Plan;
- Coordinate delivery against established priorities and manage the dependencies across the ICT program;
- Resource, skill management and allocation across all ICT streams;
- Monitor the ICT Program of Work including the early identification of delivery
conflicts and resolving with their peers - escalating as required - Ensure alignment of projects and their deliverables to the departments architecture
- Assess the ICT infrastructure and technical capabilities and manage their business
and project impacts (change management), within the ICT program of work - Ensure projects within the ICT program of work are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and the departments Project Management (PM) approach and methodologies to enable the achievement of consistent and quality project outcomes.
- Work with internal and external parties to assist them with ICT systems implementation, assurance, testing and support.
- Work with project managers to assist project activity planning and resource scheduling to ensure the integration of project activities and evaluate impacts on related initiatives and other project activities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Queensland Government, health and/or industry trends in relation to ICTbusiness process change, application development, information management, architecture development and technical implementation.
- Demonstrated strong negotiation skills, ability to identify key issues and risks to delivery timeframes and the assessment of stakeholder needs and excellent presentation and communication skills including the writing of briefings and reports.
- Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor multiple multi-disciplinary program and/or project teams to ensure delivery of project outcomes within tight project constraints (time & budget), including the communication with senior and executive.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate with senior managers, technical specialists and end users to effectively develop and implement ICT Projects including business process changes.
- Possession of a relevant
qualification or demonstrated experience to effectively complete the project activities using project management methodologies; including but not limited to Prince2 and MSP.
