Description
As a UI Designer you will be a part of a large government organisation and working within their Information Technology Branch.
Your responsibilities
- Work as part of an application project team which is responsible for the development of components developed with the Java Toolset;
- Provide UI design skills for projects undertaking analysis, design, construction, and system testing tasks within a J2EE environment;
- Provide advice and assistance to Project Managers on technical issues affecting the project;
- Consult with system analysts to determine business and user requirements;
- Develop and document specifications for application code;
- Facilitate and/or participate in design sessions and other workshops;
- Provide an appropriate level of documentation of work undertaken; and
Your skills
- Demonstrated high level of experience and skills in the development and support of Java-based J2EE applications using:
- BPM syntax for documentation of UI process flows;
- UML models for design and documentation;
- JSF 2;
- IBM RAD/RSA 8 IDE;
- WebSphere Application Server 8; and
- Windows NT, XP and 7.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective transfer of skills to other team members.
