Description
Associates will be responsible for the client reporting area for one of the largest asset management firms in Boston. This includes monitoring and oversight of client accounts and monthly communication of deliverables, as well as a clear understanding of funds' health and strategic direction. The position requires Big Four public accounting experience, and is a key to the future growth of the firm.Responsibilities:
- Monitor all portfolio activity (e.g. Assets, Cash, Accruals, Equity & FX Trades) within the portfolios of the firm's 100+ client accounts.
- Work with fund managers to build oversight program for new firm initiatives, fund launches, and new trading instruments.
- Respond to new regulatory changes with an actionable plan for the reporting and oversight group.
- Liaise with back office on the activity and valuation of the investments held within the portfolio on a daily and month-end basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly client reporting packages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3-5+ years of experience with a Big Four accounting firm.
- CPA preferred
- Experience with SQL and Bloomberg a plus.
- Direct hands-on fund accounting experience on top of public accountancy is desirable.
- Must thrive in a fast paced independent and team-based environment.
- Detail oriented, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
