A VP level role has now arisen for a tier 1 bank for wholesale credit risk practitioner to provide oversight of credit risk related risk/ controls of the investment banking division of the business.This role requires front line credit risk management experience, with an expertise in risks and controls of the Investment Banking credit lifecycle.
This role will see the successful candidate manage key relations across the investment banking business and take an advisory stance on key issues that will be faced, and work with the business to overcome these. This global role will provide oversight onLondon,New YorkandSouth Africa, which will incorporate up to 20% travel.
This role can see you move into other areas of risks and controls, or take a future move into the business.
I am looking for VP level candidates that have experience of Credit risk Sanctioning, and Approving credit, as well as a complex knowledge of key risks and controls within the credit lifecycle. These candidates will need to come from a global investment bank.
Areas of expertise include;
- Validation of Internal Models for calculating counterparty risk (via the calculation of Potential Exposure)
- Credit Rating Models, Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) Models and monitoring/hedging of counterparty risk
- Limits monitoring (Settlement, PE95, Treasury, Inventory)
- Other Basle II requirements on credit stress testing, Wrong-Way risk identification/monitoring, and capital requirement calculation
