DESCRIPTION:
- Ensure awareness of and alignment to business objectives and priorities with strategic IT plans and directions.
- Identify, evaluate and select appropriate service providers (the Request for Proposal (RFP) process), technologies and services.
- Collaborate and communicate with all parties such as leadership, business representatives, procurement, legal etc. during the contracting process.
- Decision-making, contracting, negotiation and oversight related to strategic vendors.
- Leverage governance models and related processes (financial management, service level agreements, issues and risk management, deliverables management) to ensure vendor performance fulfills business needs and satisfies obligations, commitments and responsibilities.
- Implement contract amendments and change orders to optimize delivery, and meet evolving business requirements.
- Manage the overall relationship, on behalf of business representatives, with the service provider and align requirements with services provided.
- Equip managers to best leverage relationships with vendors to benefit the company and create business value from critical vendor relationships.
- Effectively solve business challenges, lead large projects, influence others, and manage external relationships.
Responsibilities
- Fully aware of and contributes to business strategic plans and direction and is knowledgeable about industry strategic trends.
- Leads the financial evaluation, requirements articulation, service description and contract and performance parameters in statements of work and related schedules.
- Contributes to corporate policy and procedures design and implementation and ensures alignment to corporate objectives; recommends strategic partners and vendors; negotiates service support models
- Owns vendor contract parameters, manages negotiations, and ongoing vendor compliance with contract; manage relationship parameters and contract negotiations, policy compliance; devising strategies for improvement
- Communicates with internal Architecture, Operations and Delivery clients to stay informed of service needs and technology requirements.
- Vendor rationalization (establish scoring framework, KPI, review vendor profiles and spend)
- Vendor contract summarization (summarize key information from current contracts, input/update vendor management system)
- Communicates regularly, formally and informally, on the performance of existing vendors to internal stakeholders (senior leadership and all client groups).

- Administers contracts ensuring documentation and artifacts are organized, available and retained as a record for future reference.
Experience & Education
- Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree preferred
- ITIL Foundations Certificate is an asset
- 7+ years experience in vendor management
- PMP is an asset
