Description
Electrical Engineer
The position is responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and addressing end-of-life issues in digital and mixed signal boards in high-level assemblies.
The successful candidate will be experienced with FPGA/VHDL/CPLD design.
Essential Responsibilities: -
- Trouble-shoot component, board, and assembly level failure modes.
- Identify and help implement solutions to address the root cause of identified failure modes.
- Identify and evaluate replacement components for board assemblies to ensure they meet design requirements.
- Support testing and evaluation of board assemblies in system testing.
- Document and report out to engineering review boards on problems and solutions identified.
- Execute engineering change orders in the document management system.
- Communications with suppliers to facilitate transfers of production and deal with end of life components.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with debugging components and assemblies in electronic circuits.
- Experience with change-control processes
- Experience with FPGAs and VHDL coding.
- Experience with GEHC PDM systems
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as nuclear, aerospace, or healthcare
