Description
Our client requires an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to:
Implement and manage system engineering practices, processes and activities across all life cycle phases of the Passport Redevelopment Program. Ensure that the Prime System Integrator complies with system engineering practice requirements for the Passport Redevelopment Program. Manage and/or perform design assurance, testing or acceptance in accordance with the relevant Program Plans. Manage system configuration documentation. Create, develop and maintain specifications and other technical documentation. This will include input of technical specification and other information into contract variations and formal advices. Manage the collection and/or preparation of objective evidence that the contract materiel being delivered by the Prime System Integrator meets the requirements of DFAT Investigate and report on any materiel defects, non-conformances, engineering change proposals, or applications for concessions on contract materiel requirements, and develop recommendations to address the issue Assist with the forecasting, planning and development of operating costs, resources and capabilities to match future demands for products and services Oversee the release of new systems into production. Skills/experience:
- Demonstrated experience managing IT system engineering practices and processes;
- Demonstrated understanding of Information Technology environments;
- Demonstrated knowledge of System Engineering practice, System Engineering Reviews, the procurement life cycle, IT system life cycle, operational requirements management, configuration management, IT systems testing, IT integration testing, Acceptance testing;
- Demonstrated experience in either:
- o Major ICT projects, or
- o Engineering projects, or
- o Defence Strategic Projects.
- Can successfully present technical information to non technical personnel.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS who currently hold a Top Secret/NV2 security clearance.
