QA Engineer/SQA Engineer/Software/12 Months/Brussels
Software Quality Assurance Engineer required for a 12 month contract in Brussels on a joint Java web service/big data project, between my client and an external subcontractor in China.
We are looking for someone to track and manage the output of subcontractor on quality and planning.
Ideally the senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) engineer will have a development background (Java), will help manage a remotely subcontracted part of my clients software project.
The candidate will be expected to strictly track progress of the subcontractor against the plan, check the work output of the subcontractor for quality and scope.
She/he will be in charge of coordinating communication between the local and the remote teams.
Regular reporting of both quality and planning will be an important aspect of the job, all within the SCRUM framework.
She/he is capable of deep diving to a technical level to check for software issues, creating coding guidelines, organizing code reviews, installing and testing local versions of the software, creating local builds, organizing end-to-end testing.
Profile
The candidate must have skills and experience in the following areas:
- Experience in managing remotely subcontracted projects
- SQA
- Agile/SCRUM
- Project management
- Strong experience with continuous integration
- Excellent unit and system testing skills
- Experience with version control systems (git, github)
- Development experience
- Java EE
- Spring 3
- Technologies: REST, JSON, XML, Maven
- Javascript
