Chase Resourcing are delighted to be working with one of Ireland’s strongest established companies, a market leader in the food industry and a globally recognised brand. We are currently working together on the recruitment of a Materials Call Off Officer to work out of one of the companies Kerry offices. This is a huge opportunity to join one of the country’s best known and most successful companies.

Role:

This fixed term contract role is a vital role within the Supply Chain Department.   The fundamental requirement of the role is to ensure the production schedule runs to the optimum efficiency without any disruption. This position ensures that all stock procured is used in an efficient way. Keeping in close contact with the Procurement team, this role will track product ordered and follow it to ensure it is used in production in the most cost effective way. Reporting on any issues and influencing the team as required when stock is on-site and there is not an immediate need to order more. The role will be heavily involved in the administrating for the stock using the current in-house systems and in the near future migrating to the SAP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Operations Director, this role will take key responsibility for administrating the quantities of product purchased from suppliers across the world.
  • Capturing order information using the current in-house systems, and SAP at a later stage.
  • Liaising on a daily basis with suppliers, the Production Team and working towards a common production goal for clients as part of the Supply Chain Department.
  • Working with suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive on time.
  • Ensuring lean working capital at all times.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher in a Business / Supply Chain related subject.
  • Previous Administrative experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment
  • The successful candidate will possess the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • The individual most possess excellent computer skills (Excel (Pivot Tables) / Word / PowerPoint / Lotus Notes), and ideally SAP or similar ERP experience.
  • Must be professional with an outgoing and friendly disposition.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with a variety of internal / external contacts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and attention to detail skills.
  • A demonstrated numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data.
  • Must be a team player and also able to work off own initiative.

Salary:

Up to €28,000
