My client requires a Network Installation Engineer to carry out physical work, install and terminate networking cables. You will work with other team members and assist with the installation and commissioning of distributed computer networks including fixed and wireless hardware including fibre optic cables ensuring high quality standards are maintained in a timely and efficient fashion. You will assist with the assembly and install of network cabling systems and carry out testing and measurement of the same.
You will have some experience of computer networks/data communications and have experience of fault finding and diagnostic of network cabling using testers. Ability to work under varying conditions, on ladders/scaffoling and in confined spaces. An excellent ability to use hand tools/power tools is a must. Any experience of working in an educational environment would be a distinct advantage.
