Description
Our Financial Services client is seeking a Unit Price & Investment Accounting Subject Matter Expert to Support their investment accounting project in terms of due diligence workshops to understand the scope of unit linked, and any associated work, transfer; to develop and document the scope of work and understand the impact in a business as usual environment on the Finance function; using their experience, establish due diligence questions that will enable the full scope of work, the control processes required, and SLA's with a third party provider of services to be established.
Skills and experience required will include:
Proven technical experience in unit pricing & investment accounting processes and controls; investment accounting experience desirable
- Life insurance and accounting experience
- Good practical and technical understanding and experience of unit linked accounting & pricing, Box Management, and the processes underlying OEIC investment management
- Good understanding of, and practical proven experience in, fund management processes, as a manager of a team, or in project roles
- Experience in mentoring business as usual staff in the handover of technical work as part of a project delivery
- Experience in legal, due diligence and commercial negotiations with third party suppliers
- Experience in establishing internal control processes with external third party suppliers. Proven experience in process mapping and documentation to enable organisations to manage a third party relationship for technical investment projects
- Project management of unit-linked projects would be an advantage.
