A Controls Integration Engineer is required for the delivery of Engine Management Software working for a leading OEM in the West Midlands. Hourly rate £29.82 per hour basic 40 hour week.

The controls integration engineer is responsible for delivery of engine management software activities relating to PT Research and Technology projects. They will be the key interface between the project lead, engine management system teams, hybrid management system teams and suppliers. The controls integration engineer will lead software strategy development, planning and implementation to support proposed development and test activities for Diesel focused technology.

Skills Required:

* Self-driven with a strong engineering background the controls integration engineer will have experience in engine management SW development, excellent team working skills and an understanding of facility, instrumentation and test procedures.
* Experience of engine management software and calibration development (INCA/ATI/CRETA)
* Experience of control modelling and simulation (Simulink / Ascet)
* Working knowledge of Diesel and / or Gasoline engine / powertrain systems.

Skills Preferred:

* Working knowledge of development processes / principles (OEM GTDS/PCS and/or OEM GPDS)
* Good PC skills Excel, Word and Project
* Working knowledge of Diesel and / or Gasoline Hybrid systems
* Disciplined approach to planning, prioritisation and evidence generation
* Must have driving licence valid for use in the UK.

Experience Required:

* Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain control systems are considered essential.
* Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment.
* Good communication, interpersonal skills and self-confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Experience Preferred:

* Previous experience of Hybrid systems are considered desirable.
* Knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience.
