A Finance Analyst is required for the PTO Finance which is responsible for the financial control of investment in Engines and Transmissions manufactured within Ford of Europe. This includes the development, control and reporting of Engine and Transmission programs to the Program Managers, Vehicle Line Teams, Senior Management and external parties.

This position requires the individual to work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure a thorough understanding and control of Investment and Contribution Costs.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Analyst will include:
- Coordinate and control Material Cost, Freight Cost and Investment for forward model programs.
- Preparation and presentation of robust financials and targets in papers for Senior Management.
- Alignment with vehicle teams to ensure consistency of powertrain and vehicle assumptions Coordination and completion of quarterly status reports for senior management reviews. Provision of financial analysis for special studies including sourcing decisions and benchmarking.
- Product development activities including component changes, projects and TARR calculations.
- Business Plans, Budgets and Forecasts
- Accounting activities including Accruals and Contingent Liability Reporting

Skills Required:
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent abilities with Microsoft Office, in particular the ability to maintain and control complex spread sheets within Excel
- Able to give a Finance viewpoint to operational teams working to their own deadline and target pressures
- Able to present findings to more senior levels within the Company, assisting the business in meeting operational goals, whilst showing courage and ensuring that decisions are taken on the basis of data which is transparent and defendable
- Shows initiative and able to operate independently on key Finance tasks where required
- An ability to understand and rationalise complex data and undertake several different work streams at once whilst maintaining accuracy and quality is essential
- Professional, data-driven mind set (need to verify data going out to other parties), with an emphasis on reconciliation of multiple data sources and a drive for results.

A prior knowledge of PD systems (WERS, COIN, WIPS) and processes would be an advantage (but not essential) for this Finance Analyst role.

Must have experience of Financial Analysis, Engineering and/or Manufacturing along with previous experience within an automotive manufacturer or supplier would naturally suit this role. The successful Finance Analyst will hold a relevant degree or accounting qualification - advantageous but not essential
