Contract Field Test Engineer - Middlesex - UMTS - GPRS - GPSMy client is a a well known Electronics and Wireless provider. They take pride in introducing over 100 new mobile phone models per year. All models go through rigorous testing cycles before they are released to the market. As a Field Test Engineer you will be a part of the success and you will have direct impact on the clients success and quality of their products.
The key responsibilities will be the following; Quality assurance "end user" testing on live networks; Field tests, such as radio/ audio performance tests and software verification on mobile handsets (including GPRS, UMTS and mobile Intelligent terminals) and accessories (e.g. headset, hands-free and GPS); Interoperability testing with network operators and SIM Card manufacturers; Provide informed feedback on interface usability and phone design concept; Managing test project schedules.
To be considered for this role you will have; Previous experience in field trials/ handset testing; Experience with UK/European Telecom operators; Strong PC skills; Excellent knowledge in GSM-UMTS Networks and applications infrastructure (MMS-Service, WAP-Gateways, Java, Mobile Music)
