One of our clients within media sector is looking for 2 Web Developers.The following skills are required:
• Excellent understanding of Web technologies: HTTP protocol, RESTful Architecture, Stateless and stateful programming.
• Object oriented analysis and design
• Strong command of PHP (including MVC RoR-like frameworks)
• Proficiency with (X)HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Experience with JS and CSS Frameworks (Jquery, Prototype, Blueprint, Grid 960,..)
• Database design plus knowledge of RDBMS systems
• Operational knowledge on Unix (Linux)
• Experience with source code management systems (ie git, svn, mercurial)
• Scalability and performance concerns
Essential skills would be

• Strong desire to learn new technologies and keep up to date with new product developments
• Flexibility and adaptability in approaching customer and business needs

Past experience working on a large scale website would be considered an asset as will as appreciation of NoSQL / Key value storage and Message based architecture; Design patterns; Unit, load and performance testing and Experience with mobile and tablet applications.
