The opportunity to work for a well renowned financial institution and work in a team to deliver enterprise services.

Your role:

This role will be responsible in delivering the organisation's enterprise services. The position will be accountable in automation and Scripting of deployment technologies, integration with orchestration technologies, change implementation, process improvement and troubleshooting for business enabling applications and services.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify, propose and implement service and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage configuration of infrastructure consistently across environments.
  • Automate implementation of change to enable continuous delivery of applications and services.
  • Carry out changes to systems during business and after hours.

To be successful for this role, you will have the following skills:

Essential:

  • Experience in Windows operating systems.
  • Networking (TCP/IP) and network security theory, including knowledge of load balancers, Firewalls, proxies and other appliances.
  • Powershell, Batch or Visual Basic Scripting.
  • Knowledge of IIS Web Server, including Web Deploy technologies.
  • Experience with Chef, Puppet or other deployment automation technologies.
  • High degree of technical competency.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Experience delivering projects and tasks within a PM framework (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Experience with complex and distributed environments - ie applications attaching to multiple layers of tiers (eg Databases, Middleware, Processing and Delivery Tiers).
  • Familiar with IT service management concepts, with focus on change, incident and problem management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service focus

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SCCM and SCOM software.
  • Database knowledge including SQL and Oracle.
  • Knowledge of Java Application Servers (Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, JBOSS).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft .NET and orchestration technologies (Biztalk, TIBCO).
  • Knowledge of document generation solutions (ie Thunderhead, ActiveDocs).
