Summary:

We are in need of an Exchange/Lotus Notes Administrator with strong Exchange experience, as well as prior experience working in a Lotus Notes environment. Your background must include previous migration experience from Lotus Notes to Exchange. Your responsibilities will be to maintain and support the enterprise Messaging and Collaboration Administrator, messaging and collaboration server maintenance and monitoring, as well as add-on systems, such as spam filtering, and messaging archiving. This also includes Instant Messaging and web conferencing. In addition, you will manage the integration of e-mail with other systems such as mobile devices and other unified communications technologies, and assist with the planning of client migrations and other large-scale messaging projects. This is a 6 month contract opportunity in midtown Atlanta.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers the Messaging and Collaboration user accounts in the enterprise by creating user ids, effecting user name changes and moves, maintaining nationwide, National, and Division group lists, and removing terminated user ids.
  • Manages the Messaging and Collaboration Servers by monitoring the logs and statistics reports, updating the server software as appropriate, providing backup and disaster recovery, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems in order to provide a reliable Messaging and Collaboration environment for end users.
  • Configures and maintains the nationwide replication and email infrastructure by creating appropriate server connection documents, maintaining the Internet mail gateway, and ensuring the availability and accessibility of the National hub server.
  • Interacts with the Support Center, the Network Operations Center, LAN/WAN engineers, and Collaboration Developers, to provide second and third level support for the Messaging and Collaboration network and all developed Collaboration applications.
  • Protects the overall security of the Messaging and Collaboration network through the administration of database access control lists, server security measures, and cross-certification of external organizations.
  • Consults with application developers on issues related to the impact of applications on the corporate Messaging and Collaboration infrastructure.
  • Coordinates with application developers, and project managers, to deploy Nationally-developed Collaboration applications to the field.
  • Works together with the Director, Messaging Support, and other IT staff to make recommendations for enhancing the enterprise-wide Messaging and Collaboration infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, equivalent experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Exchange and Outlook administration experience supporting 1000+ user environments is required. Office 365 experience would be a plus.
  • Migration experience from Lotus Notes to MS Exchange
  • Strong Microsoft Lync administration experience. Lync Online would be a plus.
  • Experience supporting SharePoint online would be a PLUS not a must have.
  • Familiarity with Lotus Domino and Notes would be a PLUS. Past experience as a full time Lotus Domino Admin would be ideal.
  • Experience supporting a Lotus to Microsoft conversion would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint administration would be a plus.
  • At least two years of experience administering and/or supporting a multi-server Messaging and Collaboration implementation.
  • Knowledge of the concepts of Collaboration application development and proven ability to support and troubleshoot homegrown applications.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows XP/7, and 2003 or 2008.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP.
